Are you passionate about helping animals and providing top-tier care to pets and their families? We’re looking for a compassionate Veterinary Assistant to join our team! In this role, you’ll work closely with veterinarians and technicians to provide exceptional care to our animal patients. You’ll assist with everything from routine exams to ensuring our clinic runs smoothly while keeping our patients and clients comfortable and well-informed.
What You’ll Do:
Assist veterinarians and technicians during exams, procedures, and treatments
Help prepare animals for surgeries and assist with post-surgical care
Clean and sterilize equipment, treatment areas, and cages
Provide basic care for animals, including feeding, walking, and monitoring their well-being
Administer medications and treatments under supervision
Perform routine laboratory tests, including fecal and urine analysis
Take and develop X-rays as needed
Keep accurate records of patient information and treatment plans
Answer phones, schedule appointments, and provide excellent customer service
Educate pet owners on basic pet care, nutrition, and preventative health
Ensure the clinic is clean, safe, and organized
What We’re Looking For:
Previous experience as a Veterinary Assistant or in a similar animal care role is preferred
Knowledge of animal handling and basic medical procedures
Familiarity with X-ray equipment and lab testing
Compassion and a genuine love for animals
Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude when working with both animals and clients
