VCA Smoky Hill Animal Hospital in Aurora, CO is hiring a full‑time Veterinary Assistant. Pay ranges from $17.00 to $20.00 per hour. The role supports the Technician and Doctor teams by creating a positive, low‑stress atmosphere for clients and patients, and delivering an outstanding client experience.
Responsibilities
- Restraining and assisting in patient exams and routine procedures
- Taking detailed medical histories and patient vitals
- Filling prescriptions (as allowed by law)
- Performing laboratory work and diagnostic imaging
- Providing compassionate care for hospitalized animals
- Maintaining medical records
- Assisting Doctor and Technician staff as needed
- Maintaining a clean, safe hospital environment
