Full Job Description
Laurel Pet Hospital is looking for an experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our team! Our team provides excellent care during exams, assists in surgery, and supports clients through every step of their pet’s visit.
In this role, you’ll assist during appointments, help prepare patients for surgery, support dental cleanings, and assist during procedures. You’ll help keep medical records updated, follow treatment plans, answer client questions, and help the team stay organized and on schedule. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working with both pets and people in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
This is a full-time position, with a 4/10 schedule and availability needed Monday-Saturday with rotating weekends.
Full-time benefits and compensation**:
Compensation: $26-30 per hour, for each hour worked*
Bonus package: $500 for those with 3+ years of consecutive, current VA experience

Minimum qualifications and skill set:
5+ years of veterinary experience in a clinical setting
Proficiency in the following skills:
Anesthesia induction and monitoring
Dental prophy and radiographs

Our staff is comprised of multiple doctors and many of our team members have been with us for years (seriously—one of our technicians has been here since 1986!) We primarily treat dogs and cats, though sometimes small animals like rabbits and the occasional potbelly pig will come through our doors.
