The Arab Veterinary Hospital team is looking for a growth-minded Veterinary Assistant to join our team! If you have a passion for helping animals and their owners as well as a superb work ethic and a desire to learn, we’d love to talk with you! Experience is preferred, however, we will train the right person.
Responsibilities:
Assist veterinarians during appointments, surgeries, and other medical procedures
Monitor patients before, during, and after procedures, and record vital signs
Administer medications and treatments as directed by veterinarians
Collect and prepare laboratory samples for testing
Perform dental cleanings and assist with other procedures as needed
Clean and maintain medical equipment and exam rooms
Provide exceptional customer service to our clients
Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Entry level candidates welcome!
1 year of experience as a veterinary assistant or technician would be a plus
Desire to learn and grow
Ability to handle and restrain animals safely and compassionately
Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
This position can be highly physical so the ability to lift, stoop, bend and carry up to 50 pounds is a must.

Pay: $10.00 – $12.00 per hour
