Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Veterinary Assistant role based in Bhandup. The Veterinary Assistant will be responsible for assisting veterinarians during consultations, surgeries, and treatment of animals. Daily tasks include administering medications, handling animal care and feeding, monitoring health conditions, and maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in the facility. The role also involves educating pet owners or caregivers regarding proper care and assisting in emergency cases as required.
Qualifications
- Ability to handle animals with care, compassion, and patience
- Knowledge of administering medications and basic first-aid measures for animals
- Strong organizational, time management, and record-keeping skills
- Excellent communication skills to educate and interact with pet owners and team members
- Familiarity with sterilization techniques and veterinary equipment maintenance
- Experience in animal welfare or veterinary care is a plus
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required; a certification in veterinary assistance or related field is preferred
- Enthusiasm for animal welfare and a commitment to improving their well-being
