Job Description:
As a Veterinary Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our veterinarians and veterinary technicians in providing comprehensive care to our patients. Your responsibilities will include:
Assisting with animal care during examinations and treatments
Preparing animals and equipment for surgery
Administering medications and vaccines as directed by the veterinarian
Performing routine laboratory tests and diagnostics
Maintaining accurate and detailed patient records
Cleaning and sterilizing surgical instruments and equipment
Providing compassionate care and comfort to hospitalized animals
Educating pet owners on proper animal care and post-treatment instructions
Qualifications:
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle stressful situations with composure
Passion for animal care and welfare
Basic knowledge of animal behavior and veterinary procedures
Ability to lift and restrain animals of various sizes
