Clayton Veterinary Hospital is looking for a full time veterinary assistant (experience preferred but not required).
Our hospital is located in Clayton, GA, nestled in the gorgeous mountains of North Georgia. We are 30 minutes south of Franklin, NC, 45 minutes west of Seneca, SC, and 1.5 hours north of Athens, GA and Atlanta, GA. Local attractions include waterfalls, Appalachian Trail, kayaking, mountain biking, horseback riding, and a growing downtown community.
At CVH we provide general practice care to our patients. We focus on small animal medicine, surgery, and dentistry. We are open Monday-Friday from 8a-5p. Staff are given 1 hour lunches and full time employees are offered four 10 hour shifts. We do not have mandatory weekend shifts, grooming, or boarding. Our hospital focuses on patient care, mental health, avoiding burnout and compassion fatigue, development and education of employees, and community.

Duties:
Work efficiently with a team.
Restrain patients safely for our doctors and staff.
Assist in exam rooms by taking histories and getting samples from patients as needed (blood, urine, fecal, etc.)
Able to lift up to 50lbs.
Answering phones to schedule appointments and assist clients.
Fill and administer medications.
Daily cleaning protocol through out the day and closing time.
Experience:
Experience in the veterinary field is preferred but not required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $14.00 – $18.00 per hour
