Responsibilities: – Assist veterinarians in providing care to animals in a veterinary hospital setting – Perform various medical procedures under the supervision of a licensed veterinarian – Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as prescribed by the veterinarian – Collect and prepare laboratory samples for testing – Take and develop X-rays of animals – Monitor and record vital signs of animals during procedures and surgeries – Provide post-operative care and monitor recovery of animals – Educate pet owners on proper animal care, including nutrition, exercise, and preventive healthcare measures Skills: – Strong knowledge of animal physiology and veterinary terminology – Proficient in performing veterinary technician duties, including animal restraint, administering medications, and assisting with surgeries – Experience in handling and caring for various types of animals, including dogs, cats, and small mammals – Familiarity with kennel operations and maintaining a clean and safe environment for animals – Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with pet owners and other members of the veterinary team.
