We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Assistant to join our team. This role is essential in providing high-quality care to our patients and support to our veterinary staff. Duties
Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians in daily clinical procedures.
Provide compassionate care to animals during examinations, treatments, and procedures.
Administer medications as directed by the veterinarian, ensuring proper dosage and timing.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the clinic, including exam rooms, surgical areas, and laboratory spaces.
Perform basic laboratory tests and assist with diagnostic imaging as needed.
Utilize veterinary terminology effectively when communicating with team members and clients.
Follow aseptic techniques during procedures to maintain a sterile environment.
Support critical care efforts by monitoring patients’ conditions post-treatment.
Requirements
Previous experience in a veterinary clinic or pet care environment is preferred.
Familiarity with veterinary terminology is highly desirable.
Knowledge of medication administration protocols and aseptic techniques is beneficial.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated.
Strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members.
Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment, especially in critical care situations.
