Mainely Veterinary Dentistry LLC is looking to add a veterinary assistant to the team at our location in Windham, Maine. We offer advanced, high quality veterinary dentistry for cats and dogs. We also have a brand new, ergonomic workspace with lift tables and saddle stools. This position will also require some reception duties.
The ideal applicant is a team player with strong communication skills and work ethic – we like to work hard and go home on time. NO ON-CALL OR WEEKEND DUTIES!!! We are passionate about improving patient dental care. To that end, our mission at Mainely Veterinary Dentistry includes providing continuing education dentistry training for outside veterinary staff to further our ultimate goal of improving the dental health of all patients in our area.

Responsibilities:
Assist veterinarians in providing medical care to animals.
Set up dental tables for procedures.
Assist in the preparation of animals for surgery.
Monitor vital signs of animals during surgery and recovery.
Provide basic nursing care for animals, including feeding, bathing, and exercising.
Maintain accurate records of treatments and medications administered to animals.
Clean and maintain animal cages and living areas.
Answer phones as needed
Schedule appointments
Run consultation appointments with the doctor
Answer emails
Take payments
Requirements:
1 year of veterinary clinic experience is required
Candidates with experience monitoring anesthesia will be preferred
Employment will require the successful completion of references and background check.
