Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and possess the necessary skills to assist veterinarians in providing high-quality medical care to a variety of animals. This role requires a blend of technical proficiency, animal handling expertise, and strong interpersonal skills to ensure the well-being of our patients and their owners.
Duties
Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and other medical procedures.
Perform routine laboratory tests, including blood work and urinalysis.
Administer medications, vaccinations, and treatments as directed by the veterinarian.
Monitor animal health and behavior before, during, and after procedures.
Maintain accurate medical records for each patient.
Provide education to pet owners on proper animal care and husbandry practices.
Handle animals safely and effectively in a kennel or clinical setting.
Prepare animals for X-rays and assist in imaging procedures.
Ensure cleanliness and organization of the clinic or hospital environment.
Skills
Proficient in veterinary techniques and procedures related to animal care.
Strong animal handling skills with experience in managing various species.
Knowledge of animal physiology and husbandry practices.
Experience with pet grooming is a plus.
Familiarity with X-ray equipment and procedures is advantageous.
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated.
Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients and colleagues.
Compassionate demeanor towards animals and their owners.
Experience with equine care is beneficial but not required.

Pay: $14.00 – $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 38 – 48 per week
