We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to veterinarians in the care and treatment of animals. Duties
Assist veterinarians during examinations and surgical procedures.
Perform diagnostic tests including X-rays and laboratory work.
Administer medications, vaccinations, and treatments as prescribed.
Maintain aseptic technique during surgical procedures.
Monitor animal vital signs and behavior pre- and post-surgery.
Provide pet care including feeding, bathing, and grooming.
Handle animals safely and effectively in various situations.
Maintain accurate medical records and documentation for each patient.
Educate pet owners on proper care, nutrition, and preventative health measures.
Ensure cleanliness and organization of the clinic or hospital environment.
Skills
Ideal candidates should possess the following skills:
Proficiency in X-Ray techniques and interpretation.
Strong knowledge of veterinary terminology.
Experience in laboratory procedures relevant to veterinary medicine.
Familiarity with aseptic techniques to prevent infection.
Excellent animal handling skills with a focus on safety for both animals and staff.
Ability to manage kennel duties including cleaning and caring for boarding animals.
Competence in animal catheterization when necessary.
Experience with pet grooming techniques is a plus.
Strong dog handling skills to ensure safe interactions during examinations or treatments.
