About the Role:
Providing high-quality surgical care, diagnostic services, and treatment for a variety of animals, including pets and exotic animals. The role requires a strong commitment to animal welfare, excellent surgical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team of veterinary professionals.
Responsibilities:
- Surgical Procedures: Perform a wide range of surgical operations including routine spays/neuters, soft tissue surgeries, and emergency procedures.
- Diagnostics: Utilize diagnostic tools such as radiography, ultrasound, and laboratory tests to assess and diagnose animal health conditions.
- Post-operative Care: Monitor patients after surgery, ensuring effective pain management and recovery.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including treatment plans, surgical notes, and follow-up care.
- Treatment: Develop and implement treatment plans for animals based on diagnoses, including administering medications and monitoring recovery.
- Client Communication: Provide clear and compassionate communication with pet owners regarding diagnoses, treatment options, surgical procedures, and post-operative care.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with veterinary technicians, nurses, and other staff members to ensure the best care for the animals.
- Continuous Learning: Stay updated with the latest developments in veterinary medicine and surgery by attending relevant workshops, conferences, and seminars.
- Compliance: Ensure all medical and surgical procedures comply with the hospital’s protocols and Kuwait’s veterinary regulations
Requirments:
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent.
7–10 years of experience as a Veterinary Surgeon.
Strong surgical and diagnostic skills.
Experience treating companion animals; experience with exotic animals is an advantage.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
