Expected Duties
Performing physical exams
Ordering and interpreting diagnostics, such as bloodwork and radiographs
Diagnosing and treating illness and injuries
Prescribing and administering medications
Providing education on nutrition, dental care, and other preventive measures
Performing routine surgical procedures (mentorship available)
Humane euthanasia due to poor prognosis
Maintaining proper medical records
Participating in training sessions
Attending monthly staff meetings
Strong, honest, and tactful communication with clients and LVH team members
Periodic meetings with owners/doctors and management
Ability to handle animals safely and compassionately
Utilizing/properly recommending referral services as needed
Upholding the highest ethical standards and processes daily as it pertains to business practices and animal welfare
Additional Information
Paperless records via our cloud based PIMS, Daysmart (formerly Vetter)
Optional AI assistance with medical record keeping/transcription
New radiography (including dental) equipment by Sound/Antech
In-house and Out-house diagnostics via Antech/Heska
New ultrasound equipment on site via Sound/Antech
