Hermitage Animal Clinic, an AAHA-accredited practice since 1981, is dedicated to providing exceptional veterinary care. We’re passionate about staying at the forefront of veterinary medicine, utilizing the latest diagnostic and therapeutic techniques, and treating every client and patient like family. We’re seeking a full-time Associate Veterinarian to join our team and help us continue this tradition of excellence. Our state-of-the-art facility includes in-house labs, digital radiography, and surgical and therapeutic lasers.

This position offers:

Salary is negotiable depending on experience:

New graduates $115,000 – $125,000

Experienced DVMs $130,000 – $140,000

Gracious Sign On Bonus

Work four days per week plus half a day every third Saturday

Generous CE allowances with additional PTO

Competencies:

Clinical Knowledge and Skills:
Demonstrate clinical knowledge and skill in examining and assessing animals. Perform cardiovascular, respiratory, orthopedic, neurological, and other necessary examinations. Diagnose and prescribe appropriate treatment.

Problem-Solving:
Ability to develop solutions to challenges relating to the management of a high-quality veterinary hospital.

Communication Skills:
Effectively communicate diagnostic and therapeutic options to clients. Maintain effective communication with internal medical and hospital staff.

Professionalism:
Work as part of a high-quality, professional veterinary team, providing and receiving constructive criticism, suggestions, and feedback.

Business Acumen:
Understand the management and finances of the veterinary hospital practice.

Ethics:
Possess knowledge and understanding of ethical principles guiding decisions affecting patients.

Commitment to Continuing

Education:

Dedicate to utilizing available resources for continuing education and facilitating learning for others.

Qualifications:

Veterinarian degree (DVM) from an accredited college or university.

Current State Veterinary License.

DEA registration must be obtained and maintained.

Experience overseeing Veterinary Technicians and Assistants, as well as other hospital staff.

Desire to continue learning in veterinary care and participate in staff trainingleadership.
