Position: Veterinarian- All Creatures Vet Hospital
All Creatures Vet Hospital currently has 2 DVMs, and we are searching for a 3rd vet to join our team! We are in an ideal location in Wichita, near the Zoo, and are looking for a DVM who enjoys exotic medicine, works well in a team environment, and excels at client communication. We offer half days on Saturday, are closed on Sunday, and have no on-call or after-hours care!
We are open to both experienced veterinarians and new graduates!
Description
The Veterinarian is responsible for providing high-quality care to our patients while developing rapport with their owners. Responsibilities include physical examinations, surgeries, and dentistry, with a strong emphasis on client communication and education. It is essential that SVP Veterinarians treat each pet and client like family.
Develop rapport with clients, determine their needs, and perform physical exams and procedures that deliver high-quality care with minimal stress to patients.
Explain examination findings, communicate diagnoses, and present treatment plans; educate clients on preventative health, vaccines, and nutrition.
Maintain accurate medical and surgical records and assist colleagues with follow-up and ongoing management.
Stay current with veterinary medical advancements and attend Continuing Education meetings.
Contribute to the development of the paraprofessional team to ensure top-quality care and service.
Represent the hospital positively within the professional community and to the public.
Treat every client like family and each pet as your own.
Qualifications
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited university.
Valid licensure to practice in the state of application.
Excellent interpersonal skills, professional appearance, and positive attitude.
Ability to make decisions and communicate effectively with team members.
Respectful and compassionate approach to clients and their pets.
Commitment to high standards of veterinary medicine and ethics.
Surgical proficiency is a plus.
