Job Description:
Prithvi Animal Welfare Society, a veterinary NGO in Kovalam, Tamil Nadu, is looking for a compassionate and skilled Veterinarian. The ideal candidate should have strong diagnostic experience with dogs and cats, a keen interest in animal welfare, and an empathetic personality. At PAWS, you will work alongside a dedicated team and have the opportunity to gain experience in animal birth control surgeries while ensuring high standards of animal care and welfare.
Responsibilities:
• Develop treatment plans and monitor patient progress.
• Diagnose and treat small animals in OPD and IPD
• Perform basic surgical procedures such as wound suturing and minor surgeries
• Assist in Animal Birth Control (ABC) and sterilization programs
• Handle emergency and critical care cases
• Ensure adherence to animal welfare and clinical protocols
• Collaborate with the veterinary and shelter teams for holistic animal care.
• Maintain accurate medical records and case histories.
Requirements:
• BVSc & AH degree (mandatory)
• 5–8 years of diagnostic experience in dogs and cats.
• Strong clinical and problem-solving skills.
• Keen interest in animal welfare and rescue medicine.
• Empathetic personality with excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
