The AWSOM Wellness Center serves our no-kill AWSOM Animal Shelter, as well as the community, with a spay and neuter wellness-based practice focused on the animals and the people who love them.

Our shelter and wellness center are located in the beautiful Pocono Mountains of Northeastern Pennsylvania – just an over an hour to New York City, and under two hours to Philadelphia. Responsibilities:
– Provide high-quality veterinary care
– Perform routine check-ups, vaccinations, and preventative care
– Diagnose and treat illnesses and injuries in animals
– Perform surgeries and dental procedures as needed
– Educate pet owners on proper animal care and nutrition
– Maintain accurate medical records for all patients
– Collaborate with veterinary technicians and other staff members to ensure efficient and effective patient care.
Requirements:
– Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited veterinary school
– Valid state veterinary license
– Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
– Compassionate and caring attitude towards animals and their owners
– Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
