Associate Veterinarian
Distinct Vet is seeking an Associate Veterinarian for a full-service animal hospital in Albemarle County, Virginia. This modern facility is equipped with state-of-the-art technology and provides comprehensive care for small animals. Job Requirements:
Virginia State License current or in process
2 years or more of veterinarian experience with small animals
Responsibilities
Conduct thorough wellness exams, sick visits, and rechecks for companion animals.
Develop and implement diagnostic and treatment plans, including in-house lab work, imaging, and client education.
Perform routine and soft-tissue surgical procedures (e.g., spays, neuters, mass removals, dental extractions).
Provide preventive care, including vaccinations, parasite control, and nutritional guidance.
Communicate clearly and compassionately with pet owners about diagnoses, treatment options, and at-home care.
Maintain detailed, accurate, and timely medical records in accordance with clinic protocols.
