Berkshire Veterinary Hospital is looking to add a compassionate and skilled Veterinarian to our team. At our Rarebreed clinic, you can help reimagine the veterinary experience in your community. Our refreshing environment means you’ll provide basic wellness exams and a variety of other services in a beautiful general practice hospital.

Berkshire Veterinary Hospital is located in a beautiful small animal general practice in Pittsfield, Massachusetts, in the scenic Berkshire Mountains of Western Massachusetts. The facility has digital x-rays and uses AVImark veterinary software. In addition to basic wellness exams, we offer hospice care, euthanasia, laboratory services, dental care, microchipping, heartworm, flea and tick prevention, surgery, vaccinations, and a fully stocked pharmacy.

$120,000-$150,000 base salary plus an incentive and/or relocation bonus up to $75,000.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Examine and diagnose diseases and injuries of pets (primarily dogs and cats), and treat surgically or medically
  • Collaborate within our veterinary ecosystem, and communicate with referring veterinarians
  • Participate in ongoing education, seminars, and training to stay at the top of your field
  • Administer core vaccinations and counsel clients in pet care
  • Contribute to making our workplace enjoyable for all: staff, clients, and pets

REQUIREMENTS

  • 2+ years of experience practicing veterinary medicine in a Veterinary Hospital setting preferred
  • Internship training also preferred but not required
  • Excel in managing time, prioritizing tasks, and thriving in a fast‑paced environment
