Veterinarian Jobs in Port Orchard, WA at Port Orchard Animal Clinic

Port Orchard Animal Clinic is seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join our privately owned Veterinary Clinic. We are a three doctor practice, you could be part of a team environment where your voice matters. I am not looking to produce a high volume practice, I want you to be able to build a good rapport with clients and to practice medicine with good intent.

The clinic provides a high level of autonomy while still fostering a cooperative and collaborative atmosphere. We are open to new ideas, suggestions, and are currently working to keep our standard of care at the forefront of best practices. We pride ourselves on our high level of happy clients and our ability to resolve complex cases.

Our clinic exclusively services small animals and provides wellness checks, emergency services, soft tissue surgery, and dentistry. We are equipped with digital x-ray, digital dental x-ray, and Abaxis in house blood testing machines. All x-rays are reviewed by a board-certified radiologist. Other equipment can be obtained based on the training and experience of new associates.

Our focus is on a high standard of patient care, client satisfaction, the resolution of chronic and acute conditions, and the well-being of our staff. The approach to cases and clients is different than most clinics with a focus on being able to have the time necessary to solve the problems that clients are presenting us with. To aid with that our appointment times are 30 minutes for standard appointments, 15 minutes for rechecks (longer depending on the case), and 45 minutes for complicated cases, diabetes, and behavioral issues. This is to provide Doctors with the time necessary to properly understand problems, diagnose the problems, and educate the clients. It also allows clients to drop off emergency and critical cases that can be seen as needed.

In supporting our veterinarians, we are willing to stock new medications, purchase new equipment, and provide continuing education based on each individual veterinarian’s needs. Management has an open-door policy and is always open to feedback, suggestions, and requests.

New graduates are welcome to apply with the clinic providing mentorship for those first starting out in our profession.
