Role Overview
The Veterinarian is responsible for providing high quality care to our patients while also developing rapport with their owners. In addition to physical examinations, surgeries, and dentistry, client communication and client education are of the utmost importance. It’s important that SVP Veterinarians treat each pet and client like part of the family.

Description
Develop a rapport with clients, determine their needs, and perform physical examinations and procedures that deliver high-quality care while minimizing stress and discomfort.
Explain findings, communicate diagnoses, generate and present treatment plans, and educate clients on preventative health care.
Maintain accurate medical and surgical records and assist in follow-up care.
Stay current with medical advances and attend Continuing Education meetings.
Support the development of the paraprofessional team to ensure top-tier care and service.
Represent the hospital positively within the professional community and the public.
Treat every client like family and each pet like your own.
Requirements
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited university
At least 1 year of DVM experience
Valid licensure to practice in the applying state
Excellent interpersonal skills, professional appearance, and positive attitude
Effective decision-making and communication skills
Respectful and compassionate approach to clients and pets
Commitment to high standards of veterinary medicine and ethics
Surgical proficiency is a plus
