Women’s Animal Center, an AAHA-accredited veterinary hospital located in Bensalem, Bucks County, just outside Philadelphia, is seeking a compassionate and skilled Veterinarian to join our team. This position offers a balanced caseload of general practice medicine in a mission-driven, nonprofit environment.
Experience is preferred; Mentoring is available for new graduates.
Women’s Animal Center is a full-service veterinary practice equipped with digital radiography, a multi-table surgical suite, Aesculight laser surgery, state-of-the-art in-house diagnostic equipment, six spacious exam rooms, and an experienced support team. Our services include preventative care, sick visits, chronic disease management, dentistry, routine and specialty surgery, and physical rehabilitation.
Our general practice team includes a team of veterinarians who collaborate to manage medical and surgical cases for family-owned pets in the community, as well as animals connected to our shelter programs. The hospital is appointment-based, with same-day sick availability, allowing our team to provide high-quality care while maintaining a thoughtful and organized workflow.
Women’s Animal Center offers a unique opportunity for a veterinarian who enjoys general practice but also has an interest in animal welfare and community impact.
The ideal candidate is dedicated, caring, and compassionate, with excellent clinical judgment and strong patient and client relationship skills. Candidates must have strong diagnostic and communication skills, including a focus on client education and teamwork. A desire to maintain a diverse caseload while working closely with veterinarians, technicians, and support staff to improve the lives of pets in our community is essential.
Candidates must have a VMD or DVM degree from an accredited institution and be eligible for licensure in Pennsylvania. A current license in good standing is required.
