Position Overview: We are a two and a half doctor practice seeking a veterinarian with a proactive attitude who enjoys a fun and supportive environment. We support all experience levels, including new graduates, with mentorship and support. Our clinic features an in-house laboratory and radiology capabilities.
About Decatur: A friendly, small city with amenities akin to larger cities, including parks, a hospital, shopping, and dining options. Proximity to Fort Worth, Grapevine, Keller, and Denton (under 45 minutes).
Responsibilities:
Examine and treat animals, diagnosing diseases and injuries.
Operate diagnostic equipment, collect samples, and interpret results.
Advise pet owners on preventive care and treatment options.
Perform surgeries and prescribe medications.
Provide counsel on end-of-life care for pets.
Maintain accurate medical records.
Ensure compliance with veterinary ethics, policies, and laws.
Qualifications:
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from an AVMA-accredited institution.
State licensure.
Eligibility for DEA/BNDD registration.
Excellent communication skills.
Professional demeanor with staff and clients.
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds; assistance for heavier loads.
