Responsibilities:
– Perform physical examinations and diagnostic/medical/surgical/dental procedures for companion animals
– Develop and implement treatment plans for patients
– Provide emergency medical care as needed
– Educate clients on preventive healthcare, nutrition, and general pet care
– Maintain accurate medical records of all patients
– Collaborate with veterinary technicians and other staff members to ensure quality patient care
– Stay up-to-date with advancements in veterinary medicine and attend continuing education opportunities
Requirements:
– Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent degree from an accredited university
– Valid license to practice veterinary medicine in the state
– Strong knowledge of animal husbandry, animal physiology, and veterinary medicine principles
– Proficiency in performing animal catheterization, animal care, and veterinary critical care procedures
– Experience with equine medicine is a plus
– Ability to handle and restrain animals safely and effectively
– Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients and staff members
– Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities

Pay: $65.00 – $75.00 per hour
