About the Role:
The Vet Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring the health and well-being of animals in a construction environment, where animals may be present on-site. Minimum Qualifications:
2+ years experience working as a veterinary assistant or technician including venipuncture, catheter placement, radiology, etc.
Ability to restrain up to 50 pounds
Strong interpersonal and problem solving skills
Able to multi-task in a fast paced environment
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of animal behavior and handling techniques.
Certification in animal first aid and CPR.
Certification as a Veterinary Technician (CVT, LVT, or RVT).
Responsibilities:
Assist veterinarians in medical procedures and examinations of animals.
Monitor the health and behavior of animals, providing necessary care and treatment.
Obtain appropriate medical history from pet owners
Maintain accurate medical records and documentation for all animals treated.
Ensure compliance with local and federal regulations regarding animal welfare.
