Job Summary
As a Veterinary Technician, you will play a crucial role in assisting veterinarians in providing medical care to animals. Your responsibilities will include handling animals, performing laboratory tests, and ensuring the well-being of pets under veterinary care.
Duties
Utilize aseptic techniques to assist with surgeries and procedures
Handle animals with care and compassion during examinations and treatments
Maintain cleanliness and organization in kennel areas
Conduct laboratory tests such as blood work and urinalysis
Demonstrate knowledge of animal anatomy, physiology, and veterinary terminology
Assist with animal catheterization procedures
Provide pet care including feeding, grooming, and monitoring post-operative recovery
Requirements
Certification or degree in Veterinary Technology or relevant field
Proficiency in animal handling techniques
Familiarity with laboratory equipment and procedures
Strong knowledge of animal anatomy, physiology, and veterinary terminology
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication skills for interacting with pet owners and veterinary team

Pay: $18.59 – $19.92 per hour
