Piper Companies is seeking a Vet Tech in Philadelphia, PA to support a local research institution.
This is a 3-month contract opportunity with potential for extension/conversion.
Responsibilities include:
- Support animal care and treatment in a research environment
- Surgical procedures and post op
- Preform administrative work and regularly cross collaborate with scientists and external vendors
Qualifications include:
- Experience with anesthesia and pre/post op care
- Comfort working with rats/mice and large animals
- Must be able to work independently
- Understanding of drug dose calculations
- MUST Have – good verbal, written communication
Compensation includes:
- $25/hr-$27/hr
- Comprehensive Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, Sick Leave if required by law
