Position Overview:
We are looking to hire a contract veterinarian to cover weekend shifts based on their availability and our clinic’s needs. This role involves providing high-quality veterinary care and ensuring the well-being of our patients during their assigned shifts. The candidate will play a key role in maintaining our standard of medical excellence while offering flexibility in scheduling.
Responsibilities:
Supervise Veterinary Services: Oversee the administration of vaccinations and preventive health care services to pets (primarily dogs and cats), ensuring that VaxVan’s protocols and standards are followed.
Ensure Accurate Medical Records: Maintain detailed and accurate records of the treatments and services provided during each shift.
Client Consultation: Educate pet owners on the importance of preventive care, such as vaccinations, parasite control, and overall pet health, answering any questions they may have.
Support Mobile Clinic Operations: Collaborate with the VaxVan team to ensure the efficient operation of the mobile clinic, including assisting with setup, breakdown, and maintaining a clean and organized environment.
Adhere to Safety Protocols: Follow all safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for both staff and pets.
Flexible Scheduling: Work weekend shifts based on your availability and the clinic’s needs, providing relief and continuity of care.
Requirements:
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree.
Valid veterinary license in good standing in Texas.
