Job Title: Veterinary Assistant (Part-Time)
Location: Jasper, Indiana
Schedule: Part-time, Tuesdays and Fridays | 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Job Description:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Veterinary Assistant to join our team two days per week. This position is ideal for someone who is passionate about animal care and thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Responsibilities:
Prepare animals for surgery (including pre-op procedures)
Scrub and sterilize surgical instruments
Prepare and wrap surgical packs
Clean and maintain instruments and surgical areas
Perform general cleaning duties throughout the clinic to ensure a clean and safe environment
Requirements:
Previous experience in a veterinary or animal care setting is preferred but not required
Strong attention to detail and cleanliness
Comfortable working with animals of all sizes and temperaments
Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 40 lbs.
Dependable, punctual, and a good team player
