Harmony Pet Clinic is a locally, woman-owned, small-animal Veterinary hospital that has been conveniently located in Waukesha for over 22 years. We also provide doggy daycare, boarding, and grooming services. We are looking for a full-time Veterinary Assistant who believes that pets are a member of the family and deserve quality medical care to join our team of professional and compassionate individuals.
We are looking for someone who:
Has a strong ability to multi-task while being both efficient and thorough
Is well-spoken and approaches his/her job duties in a mature manner and without constant supervision
Believes that pets are a part of the family and deserve high-quality medical care
Has a positive can-do attitude and likes to work as a team to provide the best care to clients and patients
Strives to go the extra mile to help make a business run smoothly
Has a minimum of one year of working in a pet-related business, experience as a veterinary assistant preferred.
Is at least 18 years of age and has a High School Diploma (further education is preferred)
Responsibilities
Assist veterinarians in examining and treating animals by preparing examination rooms and handling pets with care.
Can handle and restrain animals safely during treatments and examinations
Administer medications as directed, ensuring proper dosage and technique.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the clinic, including animal kennels and treatment areas.
Provide support to pet owners by answering questions and offering guidance on pet care.
Monitor animal behavior and health, reporting any concerns to the veterinary team.
