Vet Assistant Jobs in Ranson, WV at Apple Tree Animal Clinic
We are looking for an experienced Veterinary Assistant to help develop our growing clinic. We are a privately owned, single doctor practice located in Ranson, WV.
Responsibilities include:
Able to lift and restrain at least 50lbs on the floor or on a table
Initial Intake in rooms – including thorough history, TPRs, weights and discussing vaccines and preventatives in a comfortable manner
Notation and recording of appointments and surgical procedures
Assisting doctor with drop off cases
Cleaning kennels and facility as needed
Proper use and care of diagnostic equipment
Proper restraint for cats and dogs with comfort in handling aggressive animals safely
Compassionate and clear communication with owners and co-workers
Venipuncture experience preferred but willing to train
Experience preferred for this position
Looking for an easy-going team player to fit into our team.
We are willing to train the right person.
No weekends or on call. Monday thru Friday hours.
