Regent Automobile Valuers & Assessors is one of East Africa’s leading automotive valuation, inspection and accident assessment companies. We are expanding our accident management division and are looking for experienced, highly motivated, and detail-oriented professionals to join our growing team.
Position
Accident Assessment & Vehicle Inspection Officer
Key Responsibilities
– Conduct comprehensive inspections of accident-damaged motor vehicles.
– Assess the extent of vehicle damage and prepare accurate damage assessment reports.
– Identify damaged components requiring repair or replacement.
– Estimate labour and repair costs using industry standards.
– Capture high-quality inspection photographs and supporting evidence.
– Detect previous repairs, structural damage and potential hidden defects.
– Prepare professional reports within agreed turnaround times.
– Liaise with insurance companies, repair garages, fleet owners and vehicle owners where necessary.
– Ensure compliance with company quality standards and industry best practices.
– Use digital inspection systems and mobile applications to complete inspections.
Minimum Qualifications
– Diploma or Degree in Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Technology or a related field.
– At least 3 years’ experience in accident assessment, motor vehicle inspection or insurance motor claims.
– Strong understanding of vehicle construction, body repairs, mechanical systems and accident damage analysis.
– Ability to estimate repair costs accurately.
– Excellent report writing and communication skills.
– Computer literacy and ability to work with mobile inspection applications.
– Valid Kenyan Driving Licence (Class B or above).
– Ability to travel extensively across assigned regions.
Added Advantage
– Experience working with insurance companies, loss adjusters, vehicle assessors or authorized garages.
– Certification in automotive assessment or vehicle inspection.
– Experience using digital assessment platforms.
– Knowledge of AI-assisted vehicle inspection systems.
