Key Responsibilities:
- Preparation of auto vaccinator and scales prior to vaccination and grading.
- Monitoring bird welfare during the grading/vaccination process.
- Ensuring that vaccination process is done correctly and according to set standards.
- vaccination of birds according to vaccine schedule
- Housekeeping
- Grading of birds
- Taking of blood samples
- Proper handling of birds
- Washing of drinkers before oral vaccination
- Assisting on site after vaccination is complete
- Ensure highest level/standards of keeping an accurate stock level of PPE.
- Ensure people entering and exiting transit showers adhere to the strictest levels of bio-security.
- Be willing to follow a program/schedule of cleaning duties.
- Keep grounds and surrounding area always neat and tidy.
- Reporting of equipment failures in the chicken houses to Assistant Farmer
- Expected to perform site duties when necessary based on the vaccination schedule
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum Grade 12
- Relevant qualification in Agricultural diploma or degree would be an advantage
