If you thrive in energetic settings and are passionate about animal health, this is the perfect role for you to grow your skills and make a meaningful difference.ResponsibilitiesAssist veterinarians with urgent care procedures, including animal restraint, catheterization, and aseptic techniquesPerform animal husbandry tasks such as feeding, cleaning, grooming, and monitoring patient health statusConduct laboratory tests and interpret results to aid in diagnosis and treatment planningHandle pet care duties including pet grooming, pet care education, and ensuring proper animal comfort and safetyManage diagnostic imaging procedures such as X-ray acquisition and processingSupport dental procedures by understanding dental terminology and assisting with dental cleanings or extractionsMaintain accurate medical records, update patient charts, and document treatments thoroughlyProvide dog handling expertise during examinations or treatments, ensuring safe and effective restraintAssist with laboratory sample collection and processing for diagnostic testingEnsure adherence to veterinary critical care protocols during emergency situationsSkillsProven kennel experience coupled with animal handling expertise across various species including dogs and horsesStrong knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal physiology, anatomy, and veterinary critical care practicesExperience with laboratory procedures, X-ray techniques, and aseptic surgical techniquesSkilled in animal restraint, catheterization, and maintaining animal safety during proceduresFamiliarity with pet grooming, pet training techniques, and pet care best practicesAbility to communicate effectively using veterinary terminology with team members and clientsKnowledge of dental terminology relevant to veterinary dentistry proceduresCapable of working efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detailEnthusiastic about ongoing learning in areas such as equine experience or advanced veterinary technician skillsThis energetic role invites passionate veterinary professionals eager to expand their expertise while making a positive impact on pets’ lives.
