Full time Urgent Care Veterinarian – New Opportunity + Flexible Schedules – West Des Moines, IA
A partner hospital in West Des Moines, IA, is seeking a full-time Urgent Care Veterinarian to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a DVM degree and experience in emergency and/or overnight care, providing urgent care services to both canine and feline patients. This is an excellent opportunity for a veterinarian passionate about urgent care and emergency medicine.

Responsibilities:
Provide emergency and urgent care services to pets
Diagnose and treat illnesses and injuries
Administer medications, fluids, and other treatments
Perform necessary surgeries (within the scope of urgent care)
Maintain accurate and detailed medical records using cloud-based EMR
Communicate with clients about their pets’ conditions and care plans
Qualifications:
DVM/VMD degree from an AVMA-accredited veterinary school (or completion of the ECFVG or PAVE program)
Active license in good standing to practice in Iowa (or the ability to obtain a license)
Experience in emergency and/or overnight care is preferred
Strong clinical decision-making and problem-solving abilities
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
