A partner hospital in Springfield, MA, is seeking a full-time Urgent Care Veterinarian to join their dedicated team. Key Responsibilities:
Provide emergency and urgent care to animals in need, focusing on common cases such as wound management, ear infections, vomiting/diarrhea, and euthanasia
Perform diagnostic tests and administer treatments, including medications and fluids
Monitor patient vital signs and ensure proper care throughout the treatment process
Collaborate with the clinical team to ensure high-quality patient care and communicate with clients about their pets’ condition
Maintain accurate medical records using a cloud-based EMR system
Qualifications:
DVM/VMD degree from an accredited veterinary school (or completion of the ECFVG or PAVE program)
Active veterinary license in good standing to practice in Massachusetts (or ability to obtain one)
1-2 years of experience in emergency and/or overnight care
Strong clinical skills with the ability to make quick, informed decisions
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently while also collaborating within a team environment
