Advanced Veterinary Care (AVC) is a brand new state-of-the-art urgent care and specialty hospital located in the beautiful and always growing city of Orlando, Florida. Advanced Veterinary Care is Central Florida’s newest, privately owned urgent care and specialty hospital opening early 2023. We are seeking someone who is a great communicator, able to prioritize tasks, is detail oriented, enjoys a fast-paced collaborative environment between the urgent care and specialty departments. As an Urgent Care Technicians, you will:
Determine levels of triage (emergent vs urgent) and be an integral part of patients arriving to the clinic.
Obtain history and enter information into electronic patient file.
Restrain for physical examination, phlebotomy, catheter placement.
Proficient in anesthesia preparation, monitoring and recovery for minor procedures.
Perform diagnostics and treatment including administration of medications, perform lab work, sedation, and diagnostic imaging.
Discharge patients from the clinic and go over discharge instructions with the clients.
Provide care for patients that are hospitalized.
Expectations / Requirement:
Prior veterinary experience is required, previous Veterinary ER or Urgent Care experience is preferred, but nor required.
Proficient in drug calculation and strong anesthetic skills
Display competency in general knowledge and nursing skills required to care for patients
Strong communication skills
