Biosecurity Queensland monitors and regulates the application of agricultural and veterinary chemicals, ensuring they are used safely and in compliance with legislation. Animal Biosecurity and Welfare supports BQ’s efforts to prevent, prepare, respond to and recover from diseases threatening livestock industries and maintaining access to markets. Our people work together to help mitigate biosecurity risks, uphold standards for animal welfare and animal management and lead the overall DPI response to biosecurity emergency incidents to achieve outcomes consistent with the Department’s strategic direction for leadership in animal welfare, exhibited animal, animal management and animal ethics policy and service delivery.
As Our Unit Supervisor, You Will
Lead and manage the customer service team.
Support the good reputation of your unit and of Biosecurity Queensland through all interactions with members of the public and with internal and external stakeholders and through effective service delivery
Managing financial and procurement activities for the customer service area.
It is a requirement for all Biosecurity Queensland positions to have a criminal history check completed.
