Job Overview
We are urgently seeking an experienced truck inspector to examine dispatched and self-owned commercial and heavy-duty trucks to ensure compliance with safety laws, environmental regulations, and maintenance standards. The inspector will check mechanical components such as brakes, tyres, lights, etc; review driver logs; and compile failure or pass reports to keep unsafe trucks off the loading bay and public roads.
Qualifications and Skills
OND/HND/BSc or equivalent.
Strong understanding of heavy-duty truck mechanics and automotive systems.
Familiarity with state, regional, and federal transportation safety laws.
Ability to operate diagnostic tools and testing equipment.
Valid driver’s licence and physical capacity to lift equipment or access underneath vehicles.
