Texas Discovery Gardens is where children and adults discover and learn to sustain the natural world. Our Vision is to provide a safe and natural oasis where the Dallas Community can have fun while they Explore, Experience, Entertain, and Educate.

Texas Discovery Gardens, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, is a 7.5-acre organic oasis in Dallas’ historic Fair Park. We feature Texas native and adapted plants, the Rosine Smith Sammons Butterfly House with free-flying exotic butterflies, and interactive attractions like the Snake & Reptile Shack, garden trains, and children’s playscape.

As the first 100% organic public garden in Texas, we are committed tosustainabilityand environmentaleducationthrough events, workshops, and daily interactions.

Training is requiredfor all volunteer positions. Once completed, you’ll be ready to sign up for shifts! Opportunities include:

Snake & Reptile Shack

Greenhouse (Availability Varies)

We also have special event roles, such as helping with plant sales, homeschool days, and the State Fair. A monthly newsletter shares additional opportunities.
