The Opportunity

The Territory Sales Manager (TSM) drives the sales of Dechra products to achieve Dechra’s shared sales goals. The TSM builds trusting relationships with new and existing customers to sell Dechra’s innovative products to companion animal veterinary clinics.

Main Responsibilities

So, what will you be doing? This role has a broad and varied scope and the successful candidate will have responsibility for duties including:

COMPANION ANIMAL VETERINARY SALES EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Reports to, and operates under the general direction of Regional Sales Manager

Demonstrates strong selling skills and solid sales experience in the animal health industry.

Develops and executes territory business plans.

Provide regular feedback, as required, to management.

Build and maintain strong relationships with key veterinarians and opinion leaders.

Provide input/feedback to management on marketing programs, marketing materials and distributor promotions.

Maintain and manage positive, strong relationships with key Distributor Representatives

Uses knowledge and understanding of the medical, operational, and business side of veterinary practice to increase sales.

Sell to, and develop relationships with faculty/students at veterinary schools in the assigned territory by using knowledge and understanding of selling in the veterinary school environment.

Willing to travel extensively throughout assigned territory and to regional and national events

Use CRM data analytics to develop data driven sales strategies.

Use of basic computer programs (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc.).

Travel – 25 to 50%

1-5 years experience in Animal Health industry

Solid understanding of basic computer programs (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc.)

Strong analytical technical, communication and presentation skills

High School Diploma/GED with equivalent level of experience

Must be located in major city within the territory
