Job Responsibilities
1. Collect, organize, and archive all export-related documentation (assessments, C2 forms, movement sheets) for the month.
2. Complete tax filings within the deadlines stipulated by the tax authority, covering taxes such as VAT, WHT, Service Levy, CIT, and Stamp Duty.
3. Perform daily reconciliations between SAP system data and VAT filing figures (input VAT, output VAT, and operating revenue); prepare weekly variance reconciliation reports to ensure consistency between accounting records and tax filings.
4. Analyze new tax policies and regulations and provide professional financial and tax advice based on business operations.
5. Coordinate with the TRA regarding various tax audits, ensuring the efficient completion of annual tax audits and special tax inspections.
6. Conduct regular self-reviews of accounting and tax records to identify and mitigate tax-related risks.
7. Handle other assigned tasks.
Qualifications
1. Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Financial Management, Economics or related.
2. At least 6-8 years of experience in taxation.
3. Minimum of 2-3 years of experience serving as a Tax Supervisor or Head of Tax for a company with an annual turnover exceeding 100 million USD.
4. Experience independently coordinating and managing various tax audits with the TRA (Tanzania Revenue Authority); candidates must provide specific case examples.
5. Tanzanian CPA or ACCA qualification.
