Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Tailor role based in Nairobi. The Tailor will be responsible for constructing, altering, and finishing garments according to client measurements, style requirements, and Dsassy Couture design standards. Day-to-day tasks include taking accurate measurements, performing fittings, cutting fabric, sewing garments, and ensuring high-quality stitching and finishing. The role also involves collaborating with designers, advising clients on fit and minor design adjustments, and maintaining a clean, organized workspace. The Tailor will interact directly with customers, provide courteous service, and ensure timely delivery of completed outfits.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Tailoring and Dressmaking skills, including cutting, sewing, and garment construction.
- Candidates should possess Fitting skills, with the ability to take precise measurements and make accurate alterations.
- Candidates should possess Customer Service and Communication skills to interact professionally with clients and team members.
- Candidates should possess attention to detail, basic pattern-making ability, and familiarity with different fabrics and garment styles.
- Previous experience working as a tailor or dressmaker in a fashion house, boutique, or similar environment is preferred.
- Ability to work on-site full-time in Nairobi, manage multiple orders, and meet deadlines without compromising quality.
- Relevant vocational training or certification in tailoring, fashion design, or garment technology is an added advantage.
