Job Purpose
Supply Planner’s main task is to maintain optimal finished goods inventory levels to maximize customer service and minimize inventory value and write offs. Systematically work on building and enhancing existing internal and external relationships for accelerated value creation. Be curious and interested in the systems side of the role to work efficiently and be able to resolve problems swiftly. Finally, success in the job is also determined by living the Mars company culture and being actively engaged not only in respective market unit but also in the broader regional community.
What will be your key responsibilities?
- Drive actions across the supply chain to improve and maximize product availability to support case fill targets
- Drive continuous improvement through route cause analysis of low stock incidents
- Drive efficient stock management ensuring inventory levels meet target levels
- Highlight overstocks, identify root causes and drive changes needed to avoid in the future
- Regular review of stock policy with factories to ensure aligned targets and create a roadmap for optimizing inventory levels
- Manage the stock age profile on finished goods to minimize best before date issues on delivery preparations
- Own the product clearance process with sales and customer service
- Ensure accurate real-time stock picture is available in SAP
- Daily clearance of SAP I-doc errors with the 3PLs
What are we looking for?
- Bachelor’s degree
- Prior experience in supply chain roles is considered an asset
- Good communication skills, customer oriented, problem solving, action oriented, strong planning and prioritizing skills
- Experience using SAP / Atlas is preferable, as well as office productivity software (Microsoft Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint etc.);
- Comfortable working in a busy operational environment
- English language fluency is essential
Please note that this position is intended as maternity cover, for the next 1.5 years. Subject to organizational requirements and demonstrated performance, it may transition into a permanent role.
