GSVS Woodbridge is excited to announce we are looking to add a Swing Supervisor to our team!
About the Job: Under general supervision of the Head Veterinary Technician, this individual leads the clinical team with a focus on high-quality, comprehensive, accessible, supportive, and compassionate care for all clients and patients. Ensures adequate staffing levels support staff across designated departments in order to provide effective medical services and an optimal client experience. Serves as the liaisons between leadership and the staff. Supports and exemplifies the mission, vision and core values of the company.

Duties would include, but not limited to…
This position requires advanced veterinary skills and will primarily be working on the ER/ICU floor performing Veterinary Technician duties
Participates and help organize staffing, schedules, team member breaks and review of time and attendance records. Coaching, Training, and mentoring
Understands workflow of the department(s).
Provides input with problem-solving efforts for daily operations.
Develops constructive and cooperative working relationships across the hospital.
Encourages and builds mutual trust, respect, communication, and cooperation among team members.
Serves as the hospital “go to” for patient, client and team member needs including assistance with escalated, stressful situations.
Collaborates with staff at all levels and departments to streamline delivery of services without compromising care or hospitality.
Participates onboarding of staff and performance reviews.
Coordinates the required training and skills of staff.
What you will bring:
Experience as Certified Veterinary Technician, advanced degree, or background in veterinary supervisor/lead role desired; 5+ years working within veterinary setting required; supervisory experience preferred
Cultivate a positive atmosphere, demonstrate a friendly and courteous attitude with all coworkers throughout the hospital to maintain a cohesive work team
Maintain excellent communication skills to ensure professionalism and effectiveness in all interactions with clients and coworkers throughout the hospital
Must have the ability to multitask, prioritize, and delegate
Demonstrate proficiency in computer skills
Must be organized and detail oriented to ensure efficiency and accuracy in all transactions
Able work in high stress situations and exercise good judgment as needed
Oversight of equipment issues including Cubex.
Schedule: Full-Time: 4- or 5-day work week available. Wednesday – Saturday.
Salary: Dependent upon skills, experience and credentials
