The Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR) is dedicated to protecting and enhancing natural, cultural, and recreational resources across over 450,000 acres, including parks, forests, lakes, beaches, and recreational facilities. DCR strives for leadership in conservation and recreation, guided by passionate and expert staff committed to excellence.

Job Opening:

The DCR seeks applicants for the Seasonal Recreation Facilities Supervisor I position.

Salaries are based on a 40-hour work week, outdoors in all weather conditions. Work schedules, including weekends, evenings, and holidays, are at the supervisor’s discretion.

Responsibilities:

Perform maintenance tasks to ensure facilities are safe, clean, and well-maintained, including restroom and building cleaning, and assist with projects.

Patrol recreational areas to maintain security and enforce rules and policies.

Collect and report fees daily using the DCR reporting system.

Oversee and train subordinate staff as needed.

Maintain records and prepare reports related to assigned work.

Operate and perform routine maintenance on equipment and vehicles; assist the public; use small hand tools.

Provide accurate information to visitors about park activities.

Special Requirements

:

Possession of a valid CPR certificate issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.

Possession of a valid Standard First Aid and Personal Safety Certificate issued by the American Red Cross.
