Over 12 years, we have overcome challenges alongside sponsors from 14 countries, completing more than 200 customized projects. And we do it with a proprietary methodology that sets us apart: the Certified Rigor Framework.
Open innovation needs a solid foundation. That is why we work within a triple certification framework — GLP, ISO 13485 and ISO 9001 — that guarantees consistency, traceability and scientific rigor across every project. And we do it with an ad hoc team for each study: an open and growing network of surgeons and specialized experts, selected according to the unique needs of each project. We are looking for a Study Director who wants to lead that process from the centre.
The role
The Study Director is the key figure in the execution and control of each study. From protocol approval to the signature of the final report, they assume overall responsibility for the study and ensure that every phase is carried out to the highest scientific, administrative and regulatory standards, the pillars of Versa Biomedical's Certified Rigor Framework.
Key responsibilities:
● Centralise control of the study and assume overall responsibility for its execution and final report.
● Coordinate the laboratory management, study team and quality assurance personnel, ensuring effective communication throughout all phases.
● Approve, sign and date the protocol and any subsequent amendments.
● Oversee data collection, analysis and presentation; draft and review study conclusions.
● Ensure compliance with Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) principles throughout the study.
● Ensure that the protocol, amendments and SOPs are available and up to date for the entire team.
● In multi-site studies, clearly define and document the role of each principal investigator, laboratory and participating test facility.
● Assess and document the impact of any deviation on the quality and integrity of the study, activating corrective actions where necessary.
● Ensure all raw data are recorded completely and traceably.
● Validate computerised systems used in the study, where applicable.
● Archive the protocol, final report, raw data and supporting material upon study completion.
Your profile
Required qualifications:
● Degree in Health Sciences (Veterinary Medicine, Pharmacy, Biology or similar).
● Training in regulation, handling and use of laboratory animals.
● Knowledge of Good Laboratory Practice (GLP).
● English at an intermediate-advanced level (minimum B2), both spoken and written.
● Catalan at a full professional level, both spoken and written.
Additional qualifications (valued):
● PhD in science.
● Knowledge of ISO 13485.
● Laboratory Animal Science course (functions A-D).
Experience:
● Hands-on experience in laboratory techniques.
