Butchery ManagerKey Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the butchery.
- Lead and manage a team of approximately 15–20 employees.
- Manage stock levels, place orders, and monitor stock control.
- Calculate and monitor Gross Profit (GP).
- Perform daily cash-ups, banking, and float management.
- Open and close the butchery.
- Operate and manage the Point-of-Sale (POS) system.
- Liaise and work with Cash-in-Transit (CIT) companies.
- Ensure all operational and financial procedures are followed.
- Maintain high standards of hygiene, presentation, and customer service.
Minimum Requirements
- At least 5 years’ experience in a butchery environment.
- Strong knowledge of various meat cuts, including beef, pork, and chicken.
- Experience managing a team in a retail butchery environment.
- POS system experience.
- Experience with cash-ups, floats, banking, and CIT procedures.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Excel.
- Strong organisational and stock-control skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet operational targets.
- Valid driver’s licence.
