Grounds Maintenance Operative – Ongoing Temp Role (Potential Temp to Perm)

Hours:
37 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Pay Rate: £13.45 per hour
Contract:
Ongoing temporary with potential to become permanent
The Role
We are currently recruiting for a Grounds Maintenance Operative to join a busy Street Scene / Grounds team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with relevant experience looking for ongoing, stable work with the potential to secure a permanent position.
You will be responsible for carrying out a variety of grounds maintenance and street scene duties, delivering high standards across public spaces and facilities.
Key Duties
- Grass cutting and general grounds maintenance
- Pruning, hedge cutting and soft landscaping
- Tree work support and vegetation control
- Sports pitch marking and upkeep
- Cemetery duties (including grave preparation)
- Operating machinery such as mowers, tractors and sweepers
- Ensuring tools, equipment and vehicles are safely used and maintained
- Completing basic records and checks
- Working safely in line with health & safety regulations
Requirements
- Full manual driving licence – essential
